We start directly at the hotel, first walk through orchards to Parcines and then descend to the Algunder Waalweg (water channel path), to finally reach the famous Tappeiner Promenade, which leads us over the rooftops of Merano through the sun-drenched slopes of the Küchelberg vineyards to the centre of the spa town. This sunny high-altitude promenade, one of the most beautiful in Europe, was donated by the Vinschgau spa doctor, anthropologist and botanist Franz Tappeiner around 130 years ago and offers magnificent views of Merano, the fertile Adige Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges all year round. The path is lined with native and Mediterranean plants that give the impression of strolling through a park.

Today's destination is the Christmas market on the enchanting spa promenade along the River Passirio/ Passer, which flows through the centre of the town.

Around 80 small wooden huts display a wide range of gift ideas, offer a large selection of food and drink and create a very special Christmas atmosphere. If you wish, you can of course stay longer in Merano. The other participants will return to the hotel with the tour guide by train or bus.

Appropriate hiking equipment ,above all, good footwear is required. In case of doubt, please ask at the reception or the tour guide. This interesting hiking tour is technically rather easy but longBy registering, the participant declares that he/she has carefully read the tour description and agrees with the conditions and requirements.
