Rabland & Parcines

historic buildings, idyllic lanes and moss-green sun terraces.

Hiking, biking, golfing, discovering and relaxing... and all without a car.

Our Design Hotel Tyrol is located on the edge of the small village of Rabland at the entrance to the Venosta Valley, close to the spa town of Merano. Together with the villages of Parcines and Tel (approx. 2 km apart), Rabland forms the municipality of Parcines. Everything a holidaymaker's heart desires is on offer here: hiking through unspoilt villages, art and culture, sport and adventure, comfort and good service, customs and the traditional and well-known South Tyrolean hospitality.

Among other things, the typewriter was invented in Parcines, and you can learn all about it in the World Museum of the Typewriter. There are also places steeped in history, colourful gardens, balconies adorned with flowers and narrow old alleyways, all very close to the hotel.
The unspoilt surroundings of the Design Hotel Tyrol, around Rabland and Parcines and the Texel Group Nature Park, are ideal for hiking and biking.

Rabland and Parcines are the ideal place for a holiday:

  • The Design Hotel Tyrol is located in the original Rabland near Partschins with its historic buildings, idyllic alleyways and moss-green sun terraces.
  • It is not far to Merano (approx. 15 minutes by car, bus or train).
  • The sun shines most of the time (more than 300 days of sunshine per year).
  • The Texel Group Nature Park, which surrounds Parcines and Rabland, offers unspoilt nature.
  • 240 km of marked hiking trails at all altitudes are directly accessible from the hotel - without the need for a car.
  • Surrounded by three thousand metre peaks - with the ‘Texelbahn’ and ‘Aschbach’ cable cars, you can quickly reach lofty heights on both sides of the valley - directly from the hotel.
  • The Parcines waterfall is the highest waterfall in South Tyrol and offers an impressive natural spectacle.
  • There is plenty to discover in Parcines, even in bad weather: The typewriter museum, the railway world and the K&K museum are well worth a visit.
  • If you prefer more action, you can let off steam on a tandem paragliding adventure: Tandem paragliding from Giggelberg, abseiling down the waterfall, llama trekking, a game show at dawn or simply on adventure tours in the nature park around Parcines, or take the hotel bike and the Venosta Valley railway along the River Adige or up the mountain slopes.
