Between 2117 and 2598 metres above sea level are the Spronser lakes, a group of 10 lakes of different sizes and colours, situated on a high plateau above the Texelgruppe.
From the hotel it is about 3 hours via the Leiteralm basket lift to the steep Hochgangscharte or the slightly less steep Taufenscharte. After the strenuous ascent, you will be rewarded not only with a view of the picturesque lakes, but also with the sound of cowbells and a meal in the beautifully situated mountain hut Oberkaser.
