Our certified hiking guide and uncle Rudi, who is known beyond the borders of South Tyrol, has made it all the way to the South Tyrol Legends photo wall of the "Sportler" sports shop in Verona.
He is an ambitious track and field athlete, several times Italian champion, European champion and world champion in his favourite discipline in the 400-metre run (his age group). Rudi knows every stone in Merano and Vinschgau, its geological composition and its history... and the people who live there, too, of course.
